Graham Staffing seeks an experienced Senior JAVA Developer to join an acclaimed small business in Northern Virginia. M-F, 9a-5p; When position becomes permanent, the salary range is $120 - 130K DOE.
Required:
Bachelor’s degree in an IT related field, Master’s degree preferred; Ability to achieve a DOD Secret and/or Top Secret; 10+ years of Java/Java Server Pages/Java Server Faces, 10+ HTML and JavaScript; Experience in SQL (querying and writing) and JDBC on Windows Server; Experience with Apache and Tomcat; Experience designing, planning, deploying and troubleshooting issues in highly-scalable, highly-redundant environments; Experience in software best practices (e.g. Version control, automated and frequent builds, client and peer communications, etc.); Ability to work with both Oracle and SQL Server; Experience in configuration and networking with Enterprise Solution; Must have technical background in software development and prior system integration experience on a medium to large project; Ability to effectively communicate information, both verbally and written, to end users, the project team and executive management; Manage time effectively and with minimal supervision; Ability and willingness to multi-task and work in an often high pressure environment with deadlines; Team player must be able to work professionally and collaboratively with the government customer and other contract members of the project team.
Desired Skills:
Familiarity with information security, FISMA, the NIST 800 series certification and accreditation; Java Certifications; Experience with Oracle 9i, 10g on Windows Server; Experience with XML, Web Services; J2EE, C/C++; Team/people oriented with strong leadership skills; Self-starter; Independent problem solver
Responsibilities:
Collect software enhancement requirements from end users; Design, document, develop, test and deploy new enhancements; Debug and correct software errors; Assist technical writers in software documentation; Apply company standards, processes, procedures, and tools throughout the development life cycle; And adaptability and flexibility to change via a continuously evolving environment.
